The theatrical group Leonidas Loizidis, in its interest to further Hellenic culture makes itself available to all appropriate organizations, institutions and community groups that wish to host one or more performances of Oresteia, by ancient playwright Aeschylus, to raise funds or just to enjoy an exciting, deeply moving performance of classical theater. Performances are presented in English or in Greek with projected English supertitles. The second option is considered preferable as the audience can appreciate the lyricism and poetry of the Greek language even if the audience does not understand Greek.
The 2010 U.S. performances of Oresteia are expected to be staged over a two-month period beginning in mid-September. To sponsor one or more performances, hosts are requested to provide the following:
Five (5) double hotel rooms (to accommodate 10 actors and production staff)
Two (2) meals daily to actors and staff: Full (American) breakfast or brunch and dinner for the day or days in the host city. The two meals are scheduled as necessitated by the group's program at various host cities.
Transportation expenses for the group to travel from the immediately past city to the host city, including luggage fees if required by the airline. Transportation to and from the airport or station to the hotel, and to and from the venue of performance.
Group Honorarium of $1,650 for each performance in the host city.
Free: Members of the theatrical group are willing to speak on classical theater at local universities without any charge. Many teach theater, and are therefore qualified to do so.
